This is good information .

Does the standby server knows clients and index information of PRD server ?

If not then you still have to do manual operation ( Like you mentioed boot
strap recovery ) .

Is there are any way that you can get to copy index information and meta DB
sybced to standby server so that you are just day -1  situation for standby
server ?

Actually you are allowed to set up a standby server using your current
enablers and you can register them twice. You have to sign an affidavit to
state that this is for standby only.
