I disagree with the UNIX statement.  We are currently running one of our
environments on WIN2k3 and have had no issues.  We are even running it in an
Active/Passive cluster (NetWorker services) with no issues at all.  Works
great.

I think that you have to choice the OS based on your environment.  If you
have a lot of *nix clients to backup then run a *nix NetWorker server.  Same
for windows clients.  If you have mixed then you probably need to just look
at the costs involved with running each.

According to our Legato SalesRep. the license will be cheaper. Also Unix-AIX
servers are not cheap and maintenance cost more now a days.
Need to sign up and pay for a separate Software and Hardware maintenance
agreement.

What are advantages by having server on Unix over Windows 2003 ?
