Use the -R option to specify the remote host as the recover target.
From the recover man page:

recover[-f] [-q] -i {NYR} -Rrecover-target
[-cclient][-ddestination][-xindex-namespace][-tdate][-s server][dir]

where the client is the machine that saved the files and recover-target
specifies the machine to direct the recovery. There are restrictions,
so I suggest you read the man page/admin guide in more detail, but this
is possible without mounting file systems everywhere.
