[Networker] networker on sunOS 4.1.4 host unknown problem
2004-05-05 08:58:58
Hey everyone,
I have a strange problem I can't seem to figure out.
I have a client running SunOS 4.1.4. I installed the networker client on it.
I checked the hosts file and the server was in there.
I added the client to networker. Every night my backups come back as failed
for this client. This is the output I receive:
--- Unsuccessful Save Sets ---
* ss2.thisdomain.com:/a 2 retries attempted
ss2.thisdomain.com:/a: No full backups of this save set were found in the
media database; performing a full backup
* ss2.thisdomain.com:/a save: unknown host name: dmstore.thisdomain.com
* ss2.thisdomain.com:/c 2 retries attempted
ss2.thisdomain.com:/c: No full backups of this save set were found in the
media database; performing a full backup
* ss2.thisdomain.com:/c save: unknown host name: dmstore.thisdomain.com
--- Successful Save Sets ---
I can telnet dmstore.thisdomain.com from the client. I can also telnet
ss2.thisdomain.com from the server.
There's no firewall between these computers. The are on the same VLAN.
Any ideas?
TIA
