Thank you all for the responses. I didn't realize that the location
field is only updated by inventory for tapes in the jukebox. As I
manually removed some tapes without doing a nsrjb -w; this is the reason
for the wrong location.

Could try a simple scripted solution. If you know the tapes you want to
NOT be location=jukebox then:
1) create list of tapes to be removed from location (single tape per
line)
2) run script:
        for tape in `cat tapelist`
          do
          mmlocate -s LegatoMaster -u -n $tape AltLocation
          done

*AltLocation can be any non-jukebox defined location, like "Vault" or
"Onsite" or other

You can also get a full tape list of jukebox-defined media:
        mminfo -q"location=Jukebox" -r"volume" >> tapelist then remove
all of them from location=Jukebox using the #2 script above Then run
your "nsrjb -s LegatoMaster -I" and it will grab any tapes TRULY in the
jukebox.

Hope this helps.

The jukebox does have a barcode scanner. We do not match barcodes to
labels. The gui shows 120 tapes with locations of the jukebox. The
jukebox can only hold 80 tapes.

Thank you

Are you using a barcode scanner in the JB? Is networker set to label
the same as barcodes? Have you done physical count of the tapes and
match it to the GUI?

jukebox...

Hi...

We are running networker 6.1.4 on solaris with a Windows 2000 SP4 6.1.4
storage node. The Storage node (when I look at the Volumes in the gui -
either the windows gui or the unix gui) show a bunch of tapes that Iknow
are not in the jukebox attached to the storage node as being in the
jukebox. That is the Location field says the name of the jukebox.

I've done a nsrjb -HE and nsrjb -IE on the storage node, I've restarted
service on the storage node and networker itself on the server, but it
is not cleaning it up.

Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this and how I can
resolve this?

The jukebox is a Qualstar 4660...

Thank you much.
Dan
