What do mean about emailing yourself? Is your mminfo output emailed to one
of the machines that would be part of your disister recovery plan? If so,
what do you do if the machine that contains your email fails at the same
time your NSR server fails?

Better to set up an account on your personal ISP or one of the free email
servers such as hotmail and email your NetWorker information to that every
day via a scheduled script. You should also be emailing your server's
bootstrap and consider doing a "savgrp -o" daily.

Scanning in info would work, but it is a slow option. Better to recover
your NetWorker server via the mmrecov command, which requires knowledge
of the most recent bootstrap info.
