So, I posted a few days ago looking for others who might be using an IBM
4560SLX or Overland Neo 2000. My particular config is the IBM 4560SLX
with two modules that use a dedicated Ethernet switch to talk to one
another. In my post I explained I was seeing a host of weird problems.

The interesting thing about the Ethernet switch is the pretty little
blue button marked "reset". I personally like the color blue and think a
blue button just begs to be pressed. As if to be even more tempting the
button is labeled "reset" which tends to translate to "fix my weird
problems".

Resist the urge.

Pressing the blue reset button wipes out the routers proprietary factory
config and puts it into a state where it kind of works but causes all
kinds of wonky problems with the tape units.

After replacing the router my tape hardware, and Networker 7.1.1 server,
appear to be much happier with one another. I'm so happy I thought I
would just share. :)
