I suppose that depends on how well the pre-install and post-install
scripts are written :)

For me I did the following:

1) shut down networer
2) backed up /nsr (which is symlinked to /var/nsr on our box)
3) removed all the lgto* rpms
4) installed all the new lgto rpms
5) fired up networker

Things looked good here afterwards.
