Re: [Networker] Legato for Linux packages

Unfortunately, only RPMs are available.
I used rpm2targz to convert the rpm to a tarball, which will give you the
binaries (/usr/bin, /usr/lib, /usr/sbin). Then I grabbed the init script
and the /nsr directory off of an existing rpm-based system, which are
created when you run the shell script that accompanies the rpm, and added
them to a second tar ball. Of course, I had to have an rpm-based system
to do this, but now all I have to do is untar those two tar balls onto
any of my other (non-rpm) linux boxes and they work fine. This has worked
nicely for me on Debian and Gentoo.
