First, get the latest build support. They had lots of issues with the
4.1 stock release. Talk to support, I think they are at least up to
build_190.
Looks like you have a log file missing more than a corrupt store. Try
running a "eseutil /g" (does not modify anything). Storage group will
have to be offline though.
Most times when I have heard of this problem is because a virus scanner
running on the machine saw the virus in the log file and "fixed" it. I
would contact Microsoft support asap. The per-incident fee is only like
$225 and has been very good last few times we used it. You should be
able to bring the system to a consistent state without them, but it is
easy to take a wrong step and doom the system.
