Hey Guys/Gals,
Environment:
Windows 2000 SP3
Networker Client 7.1.1
Networker Module for Exchange: 4.1

I am having a problem where I believe I am getting a complete backup but
the Transaction logs are not being truncated. When a full backup is
run, the transaction logs should be truncated automatically. They are
not.

We have been having this problem for a little over a week and at one
point the logs got so big that we had to move them from the Exchange
server. After parsing the logs and being on the phone with Support
(SANZ/Legato), we are getting almost nowhere. I keep seeing these
errors in the log files:

- Comes up once everytime the backup runs.

[4624] HrESEBackupGetLogAndPatchFiles: Some log or patch files are
missing.
 (0xc8000232)

[1708] HrESEBackupReadFile: Error returned from an ESE function call
(d).

[1708] hrErrorFromESECall last error: -1018 (0xfffffc06)
[1708]  nsresesv(1523) backup_file terminated,  bHandle->abort: 0
bytes_left: 7781363712 status: 0xc7ff1004
[1708] E:\exchsrvr\mdbdata\priv1.edb 10 GB 14784708 bytes/sec
[1708] HrESEBackupCloseFile: Error returned from an ESE function call
(d).

[1708] hrErrorFromESECall last error: -1003 (0xfffffc15)

Has anyone had any similar errors or know how to correct these errors?
I think it might be an inconsistency or corrupt database after reading
this article on how the Exchange backups are to occur:
http://www.winnetmag.com/Articles/ArticleID/9073/pg/2/2.html

Is there a utility (maybe eseutil?) that I can run that will fix the
corrupted/inconsistent database?

Thanks,
Brian
