I think the drives would work, but not the autochanger. You could enter an
evaluation code for the changer as well, or you could just manually load the
tapes...

Subject: [Networker] Library in an expired server

Hi all,

I have a Networker server 6.1.3 running on windows 2000 box with an old
Compaq DLT library with fifteen slots.

We are planning to go for entirely new setup and we have all new servers
with new Networker server and library.

As we are not going to use the existing Networker server for any backup,
I have to keep this only for restore only server with evaluation
license, reason being we don't want to mix the old indexes in the new
Networker server also the index size is high.

But I want to move all the licenses to the new Networker server for
taking backup in the new setup

My question is that "whether the DLT library will work without any
license in restore only Networker server"

The legato documentation saying about this like this

"If you have not purchased and entered a license code by the end of the
evaluation period, you will be unable to continue to back up data.
However, you can recover data that was backed up during the evaluation
period from local devices"

This device includes the local autochangers?

Thanks

Manoj
