The only BSM we use is the Exchange module and we back it up to the same
pool as everything else.  But we're only backing it up for disaster recovery
purposes so it only has a 5 week lifetime.  If I were backing it up for
archival purposes I'd probably put it in a separate pool.  Performance is
not an issue for us since the Exchange incremental typically takes 10-15
minutes and the full about 1.5 hours (including cloning).
