Same goes for AFS: most Unix NetWorker clients "know" to skip /afs,
but the OSX NetWorker client does *not* skip /afs. (One of my
first OSX backups shred through a magazine of tapes backing up
/afs--a global file space!!)
I've seen the "problem" with iPods too--NetWorker will gladly back
them up.
It appears that OSX mounts almost all non-harddrive file systems
under "/Volumes" so the directive that follows my sig should do
the trick. (This should be verified for DVDs--I only tested audio
CDs, data CDs and my iPod.)
