Hi,
I just erased a tape in our autochanger and tried:
jbverify -v -t -S 137
with this blank tape. What I saw was this:
Processing jukebox L700e:
checking if any of the drives are pre-loaded...
checking device /dev/nst0...
found drive /dev/nst0 loaded. Ejecting...
Error in eject tape from drive /dev/nst0! Skipping...
checking device /dev/nst1...
found drive /dev/nst1 loaded. Ejecting...
Error in eject tape from drive /dev/nst1! Skipping...
checking device /dev/nst2...
found drive /dev/nst2 loaded. Ejecting...
Error in eject tape from drive /dev/nst2! Skipping...
checking device /dev/nst3...
... and so on, then:
Testing drive 1 (/dev/nst0) of JB L700e
unable to proceed to test the drive as device is still loaded!
Failed in testing drive 1(/dev/nst0) of JB L700e
Funny is: before starting the test, I made sure that no tapes are loaded
(nsrjb -u && nsrjb -HE).
Does this tell me that our Storagetek library and NW 6.1.4 do not talk to
each other properly? Do I have to set other features than volume_tags,
barcode, elements_status and read_elem_unload_fail? (These were set
automatically by jbconfig.)
