Ohh yes. An AlphaSnor problem. If you email me a generel layout of your
SAN and Network as to how they are setup and how the resolve each others via
hostname that would help. Also what OS is your main NetWorker server?
Version?

Thanks,

Subject: [Networker] 7.1.1 hanging storage node

Dear NetWorker Gurus;

Anybody having any issues with 7.1.1?

Doing new install of NetWorker 7.1.1 on Win2K/SP4, with Dedicated Storage
Nodes, HP SAN-attached libraries, AlphaStor 3.03, OFM 9.1.

Major problem: backup starts up, looks okay, 15 minutes later, a Dedicated
Storage Node stops responding. Monitor shows "writing, XXMB" but no
progress. Client machine stops responding entirely. Can't login locally or
remotely. Has to be hard re-booted. No indications of problems in
daemon.log, only shows lost connection to nsrmmd on <storage.node> when that
system was rebooted. 3 other clients completed successfully, but they were
just little guys (fresh installs, <2GB).

Any help much appreciated.

Regards,
Carl Farnsworth
