Our environment is close to this except we have a solaris 9 box as our
server. To get
around the tape drive order issue we statically maped the tape drives
to the server by
WWNN. This is done in the configuration of the HBA in the solaris
server. Depending
on the HBA you use in your Windows server you may have the option to do
this same
kind of static mapping. Not all HBAs have this ability.
