Until the volume is recycled, you can recover from.
IF you want to rebuild the client file index to browse
the backup, then you must use scanner. Adding SSID will
make the rebuild far more faster.
You can recover from a recycled SSID wihout rebuilding
index if you know the full path of the files/dir
to recover. Use then recover -S ssid <path to recover>

Is there a way to recover expired files from a tape?
We found some with the "scanner"-command and would like at least to show
them in nwadmin application so that we can recover them with nwadmin or
nwrecover.
We are running the Networker 6.1 on a Red Hat Linux machine.
We have a direct access to the networker server and we are runnig all
this
applications directly on the server.
