DO the Front Ends host a database?

Anyone have a problem with versions of the Exchange 2000 module greater than
3.0 when backing up a Microsoft Exchange 2000 FrontEnd server (i.e OWA, POP,
etc server configured in Exchange properties as FrontEnd). We get an error in
version 3.1 and 4.0 with unable to enumerate the AD global catalog. Since the
FrontEnd servers proxy there AD calls to the backend server, I'm willing to
bet their is a Legato bug involved. 

Anyone else run into this?
