Hi,
I ran up against some save command quirks, would like to get input from
peers about this.
Environment: Solaris 2.6 (Networker 6.0.2) both client and server.
Directory with one file.
Goal: To run save to backup the file in the directory.
To recover the file from recover shell.
Test 1: Run save with path .
> save -s backupserver -u -b Pool1 /home/asondhi/test
The save command succeeds shows that it has backed up
/home/asondhi/test/a,
/home/asondhi/test
/home/asondhi
/home
I run recover, and try to cd to /home/asondhi/test directory within the
recover shell, it complains that test is not in index. In the mmindex and
nsrindex I can see these files.
Test 2: Run save with pathname of file
> save -s backupserver -u -b Pool1 /home/asondhi/test/a
This time I can chdir into the test directory in recover shell.
Sincerely,
Arun Sondhi
