I just did a backup and after I did run "sfc /purgecache".  Windows
asked me about CD and did "something".  When whole game was finished
I did again full backup and wordpad is saved again in my case.
Actually,
the size of SYSTEM FILES looks the same to me.  I'm not sure why
you run this command in the first place (as you should run it only
after cachesize as per Q222471), but I can't reproduce it.  Perhaps
you should try it on second test machine.
