Probably not, though a thread on this list a couple weeks back mentioned
that very old clients would no longer be able to do a saveset recover with
7.1 (or perhaps even 7.0) server, because of a security change.  It's know
that this affects the NetWare clients, but I'm not sure whether it would
affect 5.x clients or not.  Best to test saveset recovers if you're going
to try this.

Even better would be to just update the clients to use a newer clientpack.

You probably just need to edit (on each client) /nsr/res/servers and add
the new server, and then restart nsrexecd on the clients.
