I don't think 6.1.2 can support LTO-2, but 6.1.3 can.

Whether it is supported with Solaris 8 will depend on the version of the st
patch installed (108725). I don't know what rev you need, but I recommend
you patch it up to the latest.

If it fills at 28GB this is certainly due to a write error of some
description. Investigate logs, check connections etc. If this is a SAN....

I don't think anyone has suggested that NW7.0 is unstable, it's just that
it's still a bit of an unknown quantity, not really that many people using
it in anger. I think a lot of people have been bitten before with early
versions, such as 5.5 and 6.0, so there is an air of caution around.
