A few days ago, the person who manages our Mirapoint message stores (email
servers) upgraded the OS on them without giving prior notice and while
NDMP backups were running on two of our three message stores (NDMP
clients).

Now, we cannot get any NDMP backups to work on any of our four Mirapoint
NDMP clients. Does anyone know if interrupting an NDMP backup mid-stream
can prevent subsequent backups from running?

Our Legato server is version 6.1.3 on Solaris 9 with a Qualstar tape
library. We have four of the library's 12 AIT-2 tape drives allocated to
NDMP service. All the tape drives are connected to our Legato server, not
to the NDMP clients and we use SnapImage.

We reported this problem to Mirapoint tech support. They say it looks like
a Legato issue. Legato says the problem looks like a Mirapoint problem.
