ADIC also mentioned problems with version 2.20 of the Emulex driver, so I'm
using 2.13 (we have Win2k, LP9802DC, LTO-2, Scalar i2000). They said Dell
had 2.21 and it seemed to be working OK. I also saw it available as a beta
on the Emulex site a few weeks ago, but it has since been removed. No
documentation was provided...

I've installed HBAnyware on a few boxes and looked at it briefly, but
haven't actually started using it yet...

We have a situation where we have the following:
        Windows 2003 Server
        Emulex LP982 HBA Driver
LTO-1 IBM Ultrium Tape Drives in an ADIC Scalar 1000 Library.

I heard of a problem with Emulex drivers for the LP9802 or LP982 when
you're talking to LTO-1 tape drives. Anyone know where the documentation
is for this problem.

I also heard that an EMC specific Emulex HBA driver(2.21a0) may work ok
with the LTO-1 tape drives, but Emulex has not yet qualified the fix.

Currently for Windows 2003 server Emulex has the following:
        Version 2.20a12 for the LP982, LP9802, LP9802DC
                Port driver version 5-2.20a12
                elxcfg version 1.41a10
                HBAnyware version 1.0a8
                HBA API libraries version 1.12

Also anyone out there using the HBAnyware for management of multiple
HBA's across the network ?

Thanks -John
