If LTO2 drives can read LTO1 tapes (I don't know, we went the
DLT->SuperDLT route), then the upgrade should be easy.

When we upgraded our STK9710 jukebox from DLT7000 drives to SuperDLT1
(220) drives, I just

- deleted the jukebox definition
- reran jbconfig, and told it that drives 1 through N-1 were type
"SuperDLT". For the last drive, I told jbconfig that it was type tz89
(DEC/Compaq/HP's name for DLT7000, though there are slight differences
like default blocksize, they're primarily compatible).

- I also made drive N "ReadOnly", and modified each of our local pools
  to prefer SuperDLT media.

It's been working flawlessly for more than a year. Once we no longer need
to be able to read any tapes that are type "tz89", I'll delete the jukebox
again and recreate it with all drives defined as "SuperDLT".

Legato may not support this type of "mixed media" configuration, though.
