depends if you select to destroy the indexes and media info during the unistall
or slect to leave data there for the re-install. This is the way legato asks
you to perform upgrades.

fyi,
I make backup copies to reduce downtime during a disaster upgrade, not theat
they have never happened.

Legato 6.1
Windows 2000

If I uninstall and reinstall Legato on the same backup server, will it keep
all the index and volume info or will I have to copy it else until it is
reinstalled?

Thanks
