A rough speed guide would be that for a cross network save from one particular
server we would previously got save speeds of around 2.5MB per save stream (we
always run two concurrent streams in this example). On the newer server each
stream will frequently run at less than 1MB.

If the local /nsr save is the only thing running, then it tends to run at
around 7MB. If additional streams come in (to different tape devices) then the
speed of the /nsr save commonly drops to below 4MB.

On the patch issue raised by someone else, the additional thing we have tried
that I forgot to mention was to apply the latest Quality Pack (standard patch
bundle) from HP.

Thanks,
Michael.

It would help if you could give some notion of what Networker reports
about how fast (what qunatity) before and after. (KB/Sec)
