Hi,

Not sure if this is 100% relevant - BUT -

"Gethostbyname" errors generally mean your name resolution isnt all that
great.

Remeber you need to be able to speak to "address" (i.e. ping IP) and to
name (i.e. either a NSLOOKUP of the name or if you do a ping -a "IP" it
must resolve the name).

This needs to be done both on the backup server and the client.

If your DNS doesnt resolve this properly (and you wouldnt be the first) try
using local hosts files (but this has its own pro's and con's).

operation terminating abnormally.

MSSQL: Backup/Recover command failed

MSSQL: bsVdiAbort: handle is bad
