Hello,

I am trying to install Legato Networker v6.1.3 onto my RH Linux 8.0 box. The
file I got all my install stuff out of was nw_linux86.tar.

At first running through the NWinstall program it failed trying to install the
client software. It complained that I did not have libncurses.so.4. I have
libncurses.so.5 on my machine, so I got around this by creating a link
betweetn libncurses.so.4 and libncurses.so.5 and then running the client
installer "rpm --nodeps --ivh lgtoclnt-6.1.3-1.i386.rpm" and it installed
fine.

No, this is the wrong solution. It really does need libncurses.so.4, so
fooling it into using .5 is not going to help you. You've forced it to
install but it won't be happy. You need to install both versions. The
packages installed on my system are: ncurses4-5.0-2 and ncurses-5.2-8.
They can co-exist without a problem.

I'm fairly sure this is documented in the release notes for NetWorker.
