Hi All,

Basically couldn't get any anwser from Legato support :(
Temporary solution is to increase the "Consecutive Error" to 200 so that
when hitting "Device I/O error" Networker would disable the drive and
eventually to complete the cloning.

Any help here ?
Cheers...
Robert

Thanks Jean,

I have few sites using M1500 with HP LTO drives for solaris 8 without any
problem. That make me confuse is that due to Windows or nsrclone for
windows.

Already escalated to Legato, hopefully that is a patch for NW 6.1.3 to this
issue.

Cheers...
Robert

Hello,

I think the problem is LTO HP
Do you try to recover a lot of data from tape.
The last time that I have some problem with HP LTO we change it by seagate
LTO drive and after this exchange everything works fine.

Regards

Jean-Pierre GIROT.

Hi all,

On W2K NW 6.1.3 during cloning hitting below error
06/23/2003 11:03:10 AM nsrd: media warning: \\.\Tape0 reading: The request
could not be performed because of an I/O device error.

Have tried to change the drive, the terminator/cable, upgraded the ATL M1500
firmware and both HP LTO drives firmware to no avail. Believe must be to do
with nsrclone, without problem backing up.

Any clues :) ?
Cheers..
Robert
