Hi

Win2K, networker 6_1_3.

A tape drive on a remote storage node has failed. Until it is fixed I
thought I would backup to disk, using a file based device to a spare
server (400GB free disk space).

I have created the device via
rd=remotehostname:e:\legato
type = file

When I go to label the device I get
Cannot open e:\leagto for reading. Permission denied
I have giveb full rights to e:\leagto to domain users.

Q1) Is it possible to create disk based tape volumes on remote storage
nodes?

Q2) What (explicit?) permissions do I need to grant to the folder
e:\legato ?

Thanks
Dean
