No, there has not been a downturn.  If anything it is now better.

The quality of the shipped product is definitely better; it looks like
they do some form of testing before they release it now.

The problem call tracking is also much better; the calls don't just
disappear.

Unfortunately the people on the phone seem to be much the same.  It's
like all the good ones are either promoted or leave.

There is a good reason why this list is so good: it has to be.  If
Legato's support was any good this list would have very few members and
would probably not even exist.

There is also a good reason why the old timers are so knowledgeable:
they have to be.  They wouldn't have survived this far otherwise.

New timers should think themselves lucky that they didn't have to
suffer through the NSR5 era.
