Jack,

Here's how I do it.

Windows example.

Create one client and specify savesets like this.

D:\dir1
D:\dir2
D:\dir3

Create another client and specify savesets like this:

D:\

On this client use the following directive:

<<"D:\">>
null: dir1
null: dir2
null: dir3

This will ensure that nothing is missed.

I don't like using local directives, because they are kind of invisible.

regards
Andrew McGeorge

I have 3 servers with five 400+GB volumes among them. Is there a way to
split the 400+GB volumes to be able to stream them simultaneously. In the
morning I usually find one of them still running even the other 5 tape
drives are sitting idle. I have thought about different ideas regarding
manually specifying folders, but that is not easy to manage, especially
since users are able to create folders. I thought about specifying the
biggest ones, but there is no way to specify "the rest" of the servers.

Any input would be appreciated.

Jack
