G:\...\xchperf.cpp is a path to the C++ (.cpp) source module from which the
error is being reported.  It has nothing to do with the drives on your
Exchange server.

G:\ happens to be the drive where the source code resides on the build
machine.

Now I realize this doesn't help with the real problem, but I thought I'd try
to eliminate some confusion around this message.

My best guess would be that you had a mapped drive to somewhere else.
Networker will attempt to back them up, and I have even been able in the
past to backup a mapped drive in Windows, but I have not been able to
recover them because nwrecov  will not open up a drive letter from a mapped
drive even if the data is on tape.

Neither our Exchange servers have a G: drive, nor do our Networker
boxes.

Can anyone point me in the right direction here?  I can't find any
errors like this in the nsr logs.
