 Hello,
The first thing that comes to my mind is whether or
not one of the two DB's is sparse, compared to the
other, or simply more compressable.

Apart from that and if both storage nodes can deliver
the data to the SAN equally fast, I'd start checking
for I/O errors in the SAN infrastructure. Maybe
there's a bad HBA or GBIC? if not, do both S/N have
the same I/O performance of the disk sub-system? CPU
speed? RAM? NIC settings (index going to backup
server)? Basically, compare I/O performance that could
influence the performance. Just my $0.02... :)
