hi,
you nearly answered the question yourself:
"it seems that NetWorker everytime allocates another port"
thats absolutely right. as you can read in the administration guide for
networker in the section firewall support, for 6.1.3 you need the following
ranges of ports (all tcp)
10001-30000
7937-9936
111
if you want to reduce that u have to follow the advices in the documentation
mentioned above.

Betreff: [Networker] Ports list
hello!
I'm using NTOP to measure the traffic in our backup network, so i
can see which hosts are saving in what speed, and when, and so on...
it's quite good for that.
But, for good tables, i need to customize the port list for ntop.
Currently i have defined:
NetWorker=7937|7938|8291|8369|8517|8710|8735|9121|9180|9347|9391|9512
in the protocol list. My problem is now, that it seems that
NetWorker everytime allocates another port, so this list is getting
longer and longer and on every change ntop needs to be restarted
(which kills previous collected stats). Is there anyone out there
that can tell me the exact port range wich NetWorker is using?
TIA
Frank Altpeter
