Firstly ensure you are running at least SP3 on your Windows 2000 servers
and SQL server SP3 also.

Is this a Windows 2000 cluster virtual server you are backing up ?

Ensure you have nsrsqlsv -a <servername> as your remote backup command.

Also see the previous thread on this list regarding the "Cannot login to
SQL Server null" error.
