Subject: [Networker] Problem with jbconfig on Solaris 9

Hello all;

I am in the process of migrating our Legato server from version 6.1.1 on a
Tru64 Unix machine to 6.1.3 on a Sun Enterprise 450 with Solaris 9. The
tape library I am trying to configure is a Qualstar 412600 with six AIT-2
tape drives in it with the drives devided into two SCSI (LVD) buses of
three drives on each bus.

The inquire command sees all six drives and the robot controller device. I
ran jbconfig and put in the device file names as /dev/rmt/0cbn through
/dev/rmt/5cbn. I used my preferred settings to match bar codes. None of
the devicses is shared and none have been configured for NDMP usage. When
I ran "nsrjb -HEv" all looked fine. Now, when I run "nsrjb -I" I get
errors like the following:

May 13 15:31:40 bootz root: NetWorker media: (warning) /dev/rmt/4cbn
opening: No such device or address
May 13 15:31:40 bootz root: NetWorker media: (warning) /dev/rmt/4cbn
reading: read open error, No such device or address
nsrjb: About to eject volume from /dev/rmt/4cbn
-
May 13 15:32:35 bootz root: NetWorker media: (warning) /dev/rmt/1cbn
opening: No such device or address
May 13 15:32:35 bootz root: NetWorker media: (warning) /dev/rmt/2cbn
opening: No such device or address
eject sleep for 5 seconds
May 13 15:32:36 bootz root: NetWorker media: (warning) /dev/rmt/3cbn
opening: No such device or address

I have a call opened to Legato, but they say they may not call back for up
to two hours. Ugh! If anyone has any suggestions on how I can solve this
problem sooner, please let me know.

Thanks
