George,

Here is the way I read it.

The -L option labels a tape, any tape. You can let it prompt you for
confirmation or specify -Y and it won't.

The -R option is used when you want to Recycle (relabel tapes with a status
of "recyclable"). This will only prompt you for confirmation if the tape
specified does not have a status of "recyclable".

Therefore I think that if you use the -N option with -R and specify the
whole jukebox, you will only end up relabelling the tapes with a status of
"recyclable" and not be prompted.

Does anyone really know the difference between using just the 'L' option
with nsrjb to re-label a tape versus using the 'R' option to recycle it?
Typically, when I want to re-label a tape, I just use the 'L' option. I
do get prompted, and that's okay. Sometimes, I might remove the volume
first, though, but I've never used the 'R' option. I read the man pages,
but I'm still a little confused over the advantage of this option, and
why you would bother with it.

Thanks.

George
