Don't think there is a limit, but since you are using w2k, you should look
into using change journal, which track the files that have changed since
last backup.
If your prolem is slow backups and timeouts which I suspect they are....
:o)

But change journal as far as I remember, require that you use the drive
letter as the saveset, not really sure though!

I haven't seen a limit on the number of files in a saveset.
Can you give more details on the problems ?
