Hi Matt,

This is an interesting problem you have.
The only thing I can think of that may be helpful to you is to increase your
Open File Descriptors - the ulimit command.

No guarantee that will solve anything, but it has proven helpful against
Solaris errors in the past.

Good luck!

Tom

Hi Networkers !

I've got a question for you all that use Networker in a SAN environment
with DDS. I have Networker 6.1.3 server and storage nodes on Solaris 8
machines. I use a STK silo with 20 9840 tape drives. Drives and hosts are
connected via Brocade switches and FC HBAs from Emulex (LP8000) and JNI.

Randomly, I receive SCSI reset errors on the various OS logs. This means
that my tape drives get frozen until you reset them manually. Of course
there is something strange not at the Networker level, but at the OS or HBA
level.

So I do not pretend that someone cam help me with that, but I just wanted
to know if someone experienced the same problem with Networker and DDS in a
SAN env. Where did you look to find a solution ? Did you modifiy some OS
parameter or other stuff like that ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,

Matt
