Hi,

I'm trying to clone a volume using either the GUI or command line and
neither is working. This is the first time I have ever attempted to
clone tapes, to be clear, I have never done this before. The primary
server is running solaris 2.8 with Networker 6.1.1. The storage node
server is running Redhat Linux 7.3, same version of NetWorker.

I've tried with both a custom backup clone pool and the Default Clone
pool. I did label a tape into both pools, one at a time, and neither
works. What happens is that NetWorker loads the tape to be cloned but
never loads the clone pool tape. Instead, it just sits there asking for
it. I am trying to do this on a Storage Tek L80 with 4 LTO drives. The
tapes in question are both LTO tapes.

Here's the command I run from the primary server:

nsrclone -b 'Default Clone' -V volid

Also ran from storage node as:

nsrclone -s server -b 'Default Clone' -V volid

Both result in the same lack of results. I have tried it from the GUI,
same problem. It's almost as if NetWorker just doesn't think it has a
clone pool tape to use, but the mount window and volumes listing clearly
indicates that it does. I even tried manually mounting the target clone
tape, but NetWorker still keeps asking for it. The log files show no
helpful information, other than the same messages the GUI displays about
requesting a clone tape.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

George
