Michael,

The ASC and ASCQ errors are jukebox specific.  You can usually
look them up in the manual for the jukebox or call the jukebox
vendor.

They should be able to point you in the right direction.

We have 2 Quantum ATL M1500s with stacklink, on a Sun E250/Solaris7
running Legato Networker 6.1.1. We are currently getting I/O errors
reported by Networker and cannot load/mount tapes at all.

In an attempt to reset the hardware , using nsrjb -vv -HE, it reports
the following:

hardware_reset:
Jukebox handle being opened at port [email protected]
hardware_reset:
Jukebox handle being closed at port [email protected]
Jukebox handle being opened at port [email protected]
box_inventory:
Jukebox handle being closed at port [email protected]
SJI Failure[0x      29]: Not Ready, ASC 0x80 ASCQ 0x01

nsrjb: Jukebox error:  Wed 04:56:04 PM SJI Failure[0x      29]: Not

We've tried various ways of reseting the hardware but we think this may
point to a hardware failure ? Can you explain what the SJI error relates
to and what our options are for fixing it. Is it a drive failure ?
Worked fine for several months until now.
