Hi,
if you are on an "unix" OS try the command "ulimit -a" and have a look at
your "nofiles" (number of open files). may be this value is too low, you
would need a minimum of 1024, better 2048 for your "number of file
descriptores". It's a kernel parameter, on windows i don't know if there is
an equivalent parameter.

Whe trying to read from a tape ( doing a restore or doing a clone ).
