Use the erase utility that comes with Networker. Typically found in:
Unix: /etc/LGTOuscsi/
Windoz: \.\.\nsr\bin\

load the tape without mounting it
run erase
unload the drive
inventory the slot

Networkers,

is it possible to 'unregister' a tape ? IE turn a tape that previously
belonged to a pool into a Scratch tape ? (the ones that show up with '-*' as
label )

TIA,
Kris
