Funny one.  And if You try to run probe what does it report for
backup?  So, try following:
savegrp -p -vvvv -G group_name and pay attention to output.  On
client You can try the same with savefs.  There is a utility for
some extra disk checks I believe by MS (Disk Probe or something
like that as part of Windows Support Tools) so try to run some
check also, but perhaps before that try to run backup from the
client side to see what happens if You select all drives.
