The nwadmin window usually underestimates the actual write speed, from what
I've seen.

You're getting 240KB/s (dividing backup size/duration), not MB/s.

After you factor in network overhead, a 2Mbit/s line like you have will get
about 200kBytes/s.  You're getting reasonable throughput.

You might want to consider adding client-side compression to make better
use of your line, if you're not already, and if your client CPU is not
overloaded.
