Perhaps you are over reacting?  The reasons for not using csh for
scripting are really way off topic for this mailing list.

Boiled down the reasons are somewhat like:

        o csh has far to many easy to exploit security holes.
        o csh is generally more bug full than other shells.
        o csh doesn't play well with others.

Personally I've always found really strange interactions when you switch
between sh based shells and csh based shells.  I tend to use C, awk,
sed and sh since I predate perl.  (Never trust a programming language
that has been in use less time than you've been a sysadmin? :-))
