Having an issue with a Linux Storage node configuration. (using NetWorker
6.1.3)

Media labeled with W2K storage nodes cannot be used with Linux RedHat AS
2.1 storage node. Error received is the generic tape label read I/O error
followed by "expected volume ABC123 got NULL".

Suspect this is an issue with block size because media labelled using Linux
storage can be verified.

The following entries were placed into stinit.def but have not resolved the
issue:

  manufacturer = "SEAGATE" model = "ULTRIUM06242-XXX1460" {

          scsi2logical=1 can-bsr can-partitions auto-lock
          mode1 blocksize=65536 compression=1
          mode2 blocksize=65536 compression=1
          mode3 blocksize=65536 compression=0
          mode4 blocksize=65536 compression=0

mt reports that:

# mt -f /dev/nst0 stat
SCSI 2 tape drive:
File number=0, block number=64, partition=0.
Tape block size 512 bytes. Density code 0x0 (default).
Soft error count since last status=0
General status bits on (1010000):
 ONLINE IM_REP_EN

Obviously the 64K entries in stinit.def are not having an affect. Any
suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,

JohnL
